A co-founder of EC1 Group, Shawn is a seasoned executive with 36 years of experience spanning operations, sales, project finance, and energy transition. Most recently as Senior Vice President at Primoris Services Corporation, he built the Clean Energy Project Development and Delivery division from the ground up into a billion-dollar-plus opportunity — spanning biomass gasification, RNG, green hydrogen, CO² capture, and small-scale LNG. Earlier, he served as President & General Manager of OnQuest, Inc., and held senior leadership roles at Technip/KTI and ExxonMobil. Shawn holds an MBA from Louisiana State University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University.
A co-founder of EC1 Group, Ed brings over 45 years of expertise in the estimating, design, and execution of complex process facilities across LNG, RNG, hydrogen, gas processing, and fired heater industries. As VP of Project Development and Execution at Primoris (OnQuest), he led a diverse EPC portfolio including LNG liquefaction and landfill gas-to-RNG projects. He also developed core engineering and execution procedures that became the backbone of OnQuest’s operations. A Registered Professional Engineer in Chemical Engineering (California, since 1983), Ed holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and completed the Construction Management Program at Texas A&M University.
A co-founder of EC1 Group, James is a results-driven engineering leader with 17 years of experience in the design, startup, and optimization of LNG, RNG, and oil re-refining facilities. As Process Engineering Manager at Primoris (OnQuest), he managed FEED studies, full EPC engineering estimates, and a high-performing process department. His technical achievements include designing the second-largest re-refinery in the western hemisphere and developing novel Group II base oil production processes. James holds an M.S. in Chemical Engineering (Chancellor’s Prize) from UCLA and dual B.S. degrees from UC Irvine, and is a published author in the Journal of Membrane Science.
